5k Run/Walk
Since 2015, the DHS Class of 1989 has hosted the annual Marauder Trotter 5k Run/Walk along Dunkirk’s beautiful waterfront in June/July each year. The race proceeds support our DHS ’89 Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Even though our 2020 race had to be a virtual challenge because of Covid 19, we are hoping that we are able to host the 7th Annual Marauder Trotter 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
Please Note: If the Dunkirk waterfront retaining wall (damaged by storm) is not fixed by race time, we might have to secure a new location.

Each year, proceeds from the Marauder Trotter basket raffle have been donated back to each
of the four DHS classes to support the student’s Homecoming float-building efforts.
Starting in 2021, proceeds will be donated to a local Dunkirk not-for-profit charity.
The Chautauqua County Rural Ministry will be our 2021 beneficiary.
